IPALCO Enterprises, Inc’s principal subsidiary is Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL), a regulated utility operating in the state of Indiana. Substantially all of IPL’s business consists of the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electric energy. IPALCO’s other direct subsidiary, Mid-America Capital Resources, Inc., is the holding company for its unregulated activities.
