What: IPL Light Up A Child’s Life Holiday Card Program featuring holiday card sales to benefit Riley Hospital for Children. The greeting cards are designed by Riley patients.
When: Friday, Nov. 11 & Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: On Monument Circle, in front of the IPL building
Why: Indianapolis Power & Light Company annually supports Riley Hospital for Children through the IPL Light Up A Child’s Life Holiday Card Program. Because of IPL’s support, all consumer purchases of Riley holiday cards directly benefit Riley Hospital for Children.
Sidewalk sales allow downtown visitors and workers to pick up their holiday cards during the lunch hour.
Background: A pack of 10 cards and envelopes costs just $6. All proceeds benefit Riley Hospital for Children.
The IPL Light Up a Child’s Life Holiday Card Program supports closed-circuit television programs for Riley Hospital patients, specialists who do outpatient programs, an educational program that helps long-term Riley patients when they return to school, and many other quality-of-life programs for the more than 130,000 outpatients treated each year at Indiana’s only comprehensive children’s hospital.
Riley Holiday Cards are also available through participating Credit Union, Pizza Hut, Kroger, Dairy Queen, Indiana Bankers Association member bank locations and at Riley and University Hospital gift shops, or by logging onto www.rileykids.org.
