IPL’s window light display on its 10-story headquarters in downtown Indianapolis shines brightly each night to promote meaningful events and organizations impacting lives in Central Indiana. The light display is controlled via a computer and uses energy-efficient, long-lasting bulbs to create a myriad of colors and movement.

Here are the displays you can look forward to in January:

  • New Year's Day — (HAPPY NEW YEAR!, January 1)
  • Winter & Final Days of Circle of Lights — ("Winter" Blue, January 2-3, 5-7)
  • Indy Fuel Home Game — (#IndyFuel, January 4)
  • Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Paris Festival — (French Flag, January 8, 11, 18)
  • Girl Scouts of Central Indiana Cookie Program — (WE [HEART] GS COOKIES, January 12)
  • Indiana Pacers Home Game — (Pacers "P", January 15, 17, 19-20, 23)
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day — (I HAVE A DREAM, January 21)

IPL's window light system features multi-color LED bulbs that can produce more than 16 million hues. Each light's color, brightness and timing can be programmed and synchronized with the lights around it to produce patterns and motion effects.
