Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) provided an update on its plan today to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) regarding the underground network analysis conducted by O’Neill Management Consulting, a third-party consultant based out of Atlanta, Georgia.IPL has completed the following actions to improve operations of its downtown underground network:

We understand the vital importance of the safety and reliability of the underground network that serves our customers, friends, families and visitors to our city,” said Ken Zagzebski, IPL’s Chief Executive Officer. “Although the O’Neill report validates that IPL has a well-designed, regularly maintained downtown network, it also identified some areas of focus to further minimize the risk and impact of potential future events. IPL is working diligently to implement a specific action plan to improve the performance of our downtown network.”
