IPL offers two types of payment extensions to help customers get caught up.

Short-Term Extensions

  • Best for customers who just need a few extra days to pay their current bill
  • Approval is based on account status and payment history
  • Available for residential and business customers

Long-Term Extensions

  • Helps customers with past due balances get caught up
  • A minimum of $10 must be paid toward your past due balance at time of application
  • IPL will split your remaining balance over the next three to four months. You'll pay this amount, plus your regular monthly bill. 
  • Customers can receive two long-term extensions within the most recent 12 month period
  • Available for residential customers only
