In addition, IPL offers its employees programs to encourage them to further their education and support nonprofit organizations with their time, expertise and funds.
- Educational Assistance Program. This program provides financial assistance to full-time, regular employees of IPL who wish to increase their knowledge and skill in the area of mutual benefit to themselves and to IPL. The program is intended to improve employees’ capability on their present job and/or enhance their potential contribution to IPL.
- Power Grants: Employees can request a grant of up to $10,000 for a non-profit (501-C3) organization of their choice. Grant applications are reviewed and awarded in April and October. Based on criteria and number of applications received during each review period, not all requests will be awarded. Grant requests must be for a project, grant or sponsorship of an eligible organization in one of the company’s five giving areas: community enhancement, economic development, education, environment, and arts and culture. The organization or project must also serve needs in the Indiana counties where employees live.
